{"id":2411,"date":"2021-11-29T15:25:13","date_gmt":"2021-11-29T13:25:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kmdlaw.gr\/?p=2411"},"modified":"2021-11-29T15:26:25","modified_gmt":"2021-11-29T13:26:25","slug":"digital-nomad-visa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kmdlaw.gr\/en\/digital-nomad-visa\/","title":{"rendered":"Digital Nomad Visa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Digital Nomads\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2O6ijjTY1xA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The coronavirus pandemic foregrounded both &#8220;remote working&#8221; and &#8220;digital nomads&#8221;, who are<br \/>\nable to work from anywhere in the world via Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).<br \/>\nThrough the amendments made by the Greek Law 4825\/2021 to Article 14 of Law 4825\/2021<br \/>\ndigital nomads are now able to obtain a 12-month visa to enter Greece.<br \/>\nSpecifically, third country citizens (non-EU), self-employed, freelancers or employees, who work<br \/>\nremotely using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) with employers or customers<br \/>\noutside Greece (digital nomads) for a period of up to twelve (12) months, can apply for an entry<br \/>\nvisa by submitting the necessary documents.<br \/>\nThe competent authority for the submission of the application and supporting documents is the<br \/>\nGreek Consular authority of the country where the person concerned resides. Within ten (10)<br \/>\ndays the request is answered, and the national visa is granted, provided that the specific<br \/>\nrequirements of the law are met.<br \/>\nIn addition, the above applicant may be accompanied by his\/her family members who, however,<br \/>\nare not allowed to provide dependent employment or engage in any form of economic activity<br \/>\nin the country, while the applicant himself\/herself must prove that he\/she has sufficient<br \/>\nresources (3.500\u20ac per month) to cover his\/her living expenses without burdening the national<br \/>\nsocial welfare system.<br \/>\nOnce granted, the permit may be renewed every two years for both the &#8216;digital nomad&#8217;
